It's time to welcome the modern house and say goodbye to the classic one. Located on the Clifton Road, Winchester, England, the classical house has been turned into a contemporary design by using the combination of glass panel and wood materials. Situated amidst other old houses, the Cliffton Road Home looks outstanding with it's modern design. Thanks to the AR Design Studio who has managed to modify the house.

This is a quite impressive design. This modern residence plans comprise of two level building. The first level has a kitchen, dining, toilet, and open space patio. While the second level of the house has terrace, playroom, and a lounge. Those rooms serves as additional room to the house, complementing the existing rooms which are left classical. Let's take a look at the back part of the house. It is extended with glass panel replacing the exterior wall. It is used to cover the patio and second floor's terrace.

The glass panel feature in the first story is attached in door frame. When the door is opened, the residents would be able to enjoy semi-open space when having dinner. Meanwhile, the glass panel in the second story is utilized to cover the outdoorliving. The glass is not only employed to cover the wall. it is also used as the ceiling. The glass ceiling enables the residence to enjoy both beautiful clouds at daytime and celestial objects at night.

The house uses marble tile flooring for the first floor and laminated wood floor for the second one. In order to keep the modern touch, the choice of furniture goes to all-white furniture for kitchen counter and cabinet. However, the dining table and chairs create contrasting hue as they are made of wood. The modern rooms are enlightened by ceiling-integrated lamps in both stories. Even though the lamps are small, they are powerful enough to make the modern residence interior design looks stand out.
